Simple Reciepe | Okra and Dry Prawns Curry | Lady's Finger and Prawns Curry Reciepe


  • Lady's Finger / Okra - 250gm
  • Dry Prawns - 50gm
  • Onion - 1
  • Oil - 2 Spoons
  • Mustard Seeds - 1 Spoon
  • Cumin Seeds - 1 Spoon
  • Tamarind - 10gm
  • Turmeris - 1 Spoon
  • Salt as per taste
  • Chilli Powder - 2Spoons


Take the first pan and light the oven and keep it on medium flame. Add oil to it and heat it. Now add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chopped onion and fry. Meanwhile soak the tamarind in 2 cups of water. Add washed dry prawns and fry it. Now add small okra / lady's finger pieces with it and fry for some time. Now add salt, chilli powder, turmeric, tamarind juice and cook it for 20-30 minutes till the juice becomes thick.

If you are doing it in cooker wait till you get 3 whistles and turn off the stove and let the cooker cool down. Once it is cooled, now turn on the stove and on medium flame, put the cooker and cook it for 5 minutes. Yummy and tasty okra prawns curry is ready to serve with hot rice.
