How to make Karappusa | Sanna Karapusa | Snacks with Gram Flour or Yellow gram flour or chickpea flour | Instant crispy snacks | Karappusa recipe | Crispy snacks made with Besan | Snacks with Chickpea flour | Evening snacks crispy and crunchy made with besan or gram flour

Ingredients Required:

  • Besan/Gram Flour/Chickpea flour - 1 and half cup 
  • Rice Flour - 3 tsp
  • Turmeric - 1/4 spoon
  • Salt as per taste
  • Red chilli powder - 1/2 Spoon
  • Hot oil - 3 Tsp
  • Oil for deep fry
  • Cumin Seeds/ Cumin Powder - 1 Spoon
  

Take a bowl and add Gram Flour/Besan/Chickpea flour, rice flour, turmeric, salt, cumin seeds/cumin powder and mix all the ingredients. Now add hot oil to it and mix well. Add water slowly and make a smooth dough. Never add more water to the flour. Dough should not be very tight and it should not be very smooth also. 

 

   

Now turn on the stove and put a kadai/pan and pour oil in it. And make sure the oil should be on medium-high heat not smoking hot. Now grease the karappusa maker / Chakli maker with ghee/oil and add dough in it. Make sure it is closed with small holes plate in the bottom. Next spread Karapusa dough in oil by rotating chakli maker. Now fry it and flip to other side and fry it till the color changes to golden color. Now crispy and crunchy snacks are ready. You can store it for a month also. Kids will love these snacks. You can prepare this in less time. If you have Besan/gram flour you can make the dough and prepare the snacks whenever you feel like eating.
