Required Ingredients
  • Onion - 1
  • Tamarind - 10g / Tamarind paste - 1sp
  • Tomato - 2
  • Red dry chillies – 2
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper powder - 1-2 tsp
  • Turmeric - 1 tsp
  • Oil - 2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1 spoon
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Few curry leaves
  • Few coriander leaves
  • Water - 3 cups
  • Garlic cloves - 3 / Garlic paste - 1 tsp
   
First soak tamarind in a cup of water. Now take a pan and add oil and heat it. After it is hot, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, onion slices and red dry chillies and fry well. Then add crushed garlic cloves and fry until the raw smell disappears. Now add tomato slices and fry till it becomes very soft.
Now add tamarind juice in that pan and boil it well. (In case of tamarind paste add 1 tsp and pour 2 cups of water). Add some turmeric, salt, curry leaves and pepper powder to it and boil it well.
 
After the water boils well, add coriander and turn it off and keep the broth/pan aside. From there a very tasty and spicy pepper soup is prepared. Add to the hot rice. Pepper soup is very good for health. If there is bile/stomach ache in small children will disappear. . Make pepper juice and serve with rice. It's very tasty and great combination also. When there is a non-veg curry, it helps to digest easily. It is very good soup and also a mouth-watering treat when you have a fever. This pepper juice helps to reduce/removes fever, cold and cough.
